Penobscot Shamanism Book Search
If anyone has or knows where I can get the book Penobscot Shamanism, I would greatly appreciate it. If someone has it, I will be willing to pay good money for it. My love is looking for it.
Any suggestions?
In need of support badly, please.
This weekend was the worst I've ever had. I've never been so scared, or so desperately
Sunday
night, on the way to my house for an impromptu bonfire, Gill and Pete
were involved in a near fatal crash that almost killed both of them. If
any of you have ever driven up/down 34 you may have noticed that
there's a driveway that swoops up steeply, only to go down again, in
an arch sort of thing. There's an old truck out there, and it seems
almost as if it's a road, but it's not. Gill was being an asshole, and
took it going 55 for fun. There's a large ditch/bump at the front of
the road, and they flew. They took out several guardrails, [the kind
that have the wiring and the wood posts] before finding themselves
supported only by the wires, the car leaning against it, threatening to
fall into 34. They were mere inches from a tree that, if they had kept
going, would have gone straight through Pete's side of the car. The car
is completely totalled. The steering let go, and the wheel can turn
forever without affecting the wheels, the drivers side door won't
close, the back door on the same side won't open, the back window is
smashed out. Airbags deployed, bumper missing, glass everywhere, and
wheel axle not really attached anymore.
Pete called me when they had gotten out of the car, and I immeadiately raced down.
I
don't know how to express the way that I felt that night. I really
don't. I felt so many horrible emotions at once, as soon as I saw the
car.
Whoever you are, wherever you are, and whoever you're
with, realize that life is preciuos. Love those you love, take
advantage of life, and lead it to the fullest. It can always be lost.
I'm so affected by this, and it's driving me mad, but the worst thing is, the dread just keeps building. The fear that he'll be lost from me is mounting and mounting and I'm going insane.
I love him so much.
license got, praying mantis found, Love loved
I passed my license test!
YAYYY!!
annnddd --- yesterday was amazing. Almost surreal.
I had work from 10:30-2:30,
and then I went to pick Peter up from work, and it was amazing. We had
the whole day to ourselves to do what we wanted to do.
So I
picked him up from Oaklane in Woodbridge, where he works, and we went
home, hung out, talked to his Aunt, hung out with her for a while, she
had picked us some AWESOME cherry tomatoes from her garden, which we
quickly devoured while on the ride to get his Mom from Fairfeild where
she works. After that, we went to the store with her in Huntington
where she lives and saw these two guys with this three month old Pug
Puppy!! awww! We went back to her house and had Lasagna with her and
Mark, played with Pete's dog, Kahlua, she's so cute, and went to visit
an old neighbor of Pete's who he thinks of almost as a grandmother. She
was awesome and she had the most beautiful Springer Spaniel! awwww....
[a puppy named Tapestry. How cute is that?]
Pete went through
some boxes of his that were in Mark's house for storage, and picked out
soem stuff he wanted to bring home with him, and to school, so we
loaded that into the car, and went to his Aunt's again to drop it.
After
that, we went for a walk at the riverwalk, chased each other around,
laid in the tall grasses and looked up at the sky. We had planned to
look at the stars, but it was overcast, and since Pete had brought his
starchart, which was a really cool thing, it's a map of constellations
and such [duh, starchart] printed on a square of fabric. Sooo---we held
it up above our heads and pretended it was the stars. ^^; we walked
around some more, spent about an hour down there, and headed back to
where the car was parked. When we got there, perched on my roof, was a
praying mantis! They're SUCH beautiful creatures. We didn't want to
disturb him, so we just watched him, and he watched us. We were less
than four inches away from him, standing against the car, and he was
just watching us as we watched him. He was fascinated with Pete.
Whenever Pete moved, the Mantis would watch him, even if I moved soon
after, he took no mind. And Pete was standing against my trunk, and the
Mantis was just creeping slowly toward him, got like RIGHT next to him,
and just watched him. after about 15 minutes or so, the mantis got
bored, and flew away, but it was amazing. he was so cool.
We
parked near his Aunt's after that, and went for a walk, and found
ourselves up on the local golfcourse, and wrestled and goofed
around, and tucked and rolled every time a car came, and then we
proceeded to ... desecrate the green. hehe. We weren't the first and
we're probably not the last.
After that, we walked home, and I had to go, but.... *sigh* I used a half tank of gas yesterday, but it was totally worth it...
I love that boy.
